Key Stage 2 and 3   Year Groups 3 to 8

The Middle School Programme covers the National Curriculum framework for Key Stages 2, Key Stage 3 follows the Cambridge Secondary 1 Program. The MOE framework is used for Islamic Education and Arabic. Students in Years 3, 6 and 8 are provided appropriate transition opportunities for the next phase of learning. Students cover a range of subjects such as Arabic, Islamic Education, English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Art, PE, Modern Foreign Languages and Values Education. ICT is an integral part of all curriculum areas further to which there is an opportunity with dedicated ICT lessons .

The Middle School curriculum plan lays great emphasis on providing students opportunities of experiential learning and develops 21st Century Learning Skills.

Establishing READING Practices is an agenda item of prime importance and students are expected to read at least 28 books through the academic year – this is not inclusive of classroom texts. Parents are provided support and guidance on how they can encourage their children to read.

The Middle School offers opportunities for exciting field trips, community service and to develop a sound understanding of the culture, economy and traditions of UAE. Students will experience Leadership opportunities to be able to MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
